Easter

Alpin's first Easter started with a morning at Patti and Jim's house, with delicious food and fun Easter Egg hunting with the kiddos. Logan (1.5 years) was rockin' the cutest bunny hat she made. Easter dinner was at our house with the Miksza's. Alpin got to open his first Easter Basket, it was bigger than him! It was sent to him from Jill down in So-Cal.

Alpin's First Beach Day

Andy had a day off, and we had no plans, so we called up Chris Von and headed out to the Marin coast for a choose your own adventure. While crossing the Richmond San Rafael bridge, we decided to head towards Muir Beach and Stinson, our go-to favorites. Chris is the beach expert, so it only seemed appropriate he come with us on our first trip with Alpin. It was so nice being out on the coast and in nature, very much needed for us. Of course Alpin slept the whole time, but I'm sure the sound of the waves and birds were in his dreams.

Alpin and Lana

My cousin Ellen (well, technically my Mom's cousin's daughter) and Ruben have four beautiful (and smart and funny!) little girls. The oldest is Mia (4), then Sadie (3), then Ivy (who just turned 2), and lastly tiny Lana, who is just over a week older than Alpin. Alpin and I drove up to Citrus Heights to meet Lana and see all the girls, who are growing up way too fast. Lana is such a little sweetheart, smiling and making all sorts of cute expressions. Funnily enough, Lana slept the whole visit and Alpin was fussy crying the whole time, unusual behavior for both of them. We had a great time visiting and reading books and playing with the girls. The three oldest are great little mommies, too, very concerned and protective of the babies.

First Picnic at Tilden

Our good friends Brandon, Adrien and Isaac Andre drove down from Medford, OR, to visit the Bay Area for the weekend. We were so lucky to spend time with them and other wonderful friends while they were in town. We brought Alpin out on his first picnic in the park to meet everyone, at Tilden. It was such fun, and so neat to see how much Freya and Isaac have grown.

First Chico Visit

On March 8th, when Alpin was one month old, we took our first road trip to Chico. We couldn't wait to introduce him to the rest of the Reid family! He slept the entire car ride there and back, and had no problem adjusting to being on Keri Lane. He was pretty mellow the entire visit, and 25 friends and family came and went throughout the weekend. Everyone fell in love with him, of course. Highlights included bonding time with Great Grandma and Grandpa Reid, and introducing him to his second cousin Talia, Andrew and Amber's daughter, who is five months older than him. They are going to have a blast together! Alexis and Mark were visiting from Portland, and they also were able to meet him.
